E-Z POOL® provides a long-life non-chlorine shock that isn’t temperature or light sensitive, won’t fade pool surfaces or degrade your cover. The following steps will help provide clean, clear water, and an easier opening in the Spring:

  • Do not winterize a pool until the water is clean, clear, properly balanced and has no signs of visible algae growth.
  • Brush and vacuum the pool carefully, making sure all leaves, dirt or other debris are removed.
  • If the pool is closed too early in the Fall or opened too late in the Spring additional algae growth is possible. Avoid stagnant water in warmer temperatures, especially if you have a mesh safety cover. Close the pool late in the Fall and open early in the Spring to beat the heat!
  • Important! Continue to clean and fully treat your pool each week up until closing.
  • Check the water level for one week prior to closing. Failure to detect leaks may cause ice movement and possible damage.
  • Inspect the winter cover and winterization equipment for damage or excessive wear and replace as needed.

Balanced Water protects equipment and pool finishes.

Unbalanced Water is corrosive, prone to staining, forming scale and can increase equipment and chemical costs.

IDEAL LEVELS:

  • Chlorine: 1-4ppm
  • Stabilizer/Cyanuric Acid (CYA): 30-50ppm
  • pH: 7.2-7.6
  • Total Alkalinity: 80-120 *Finish Dependent
  • Calcium Hardness - 200-400ppm
  • Apply 2 lbs. of E-Z POOL® per 10,000 gallons of water by adding directly into pool. Circulate continuously for 30 minutes prior to shutting the pump off and pool closing.
  • Pour 1 quart of ENZymePRO® per 25,000 gallons of pool water directly in front of a jet. For best results, circulate for 30 minutes prior to pool closing.
  • Follow your pool professional's or manufacturer's instructions for properly winterizing your pool structure, plumbing lines and all equipment.
  • Remove and clean all ladders/handrails and baskets.
  • Clean filters according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
Lower water level, if applicable, according to pool professional’s instructions.
  • Cover the pool with a well-designed cover according to manufacturer’s directions. Repair or replace torn or worn covers as needed to ensure a successful Spring opening. Follow your pool professional’s directions for how and when to clean the cover of water and/or debris.
